Camélia Ghimbeu
Dr. Camelia Matei Ghimbeu is a researcher at Material Science Institute in Mulhouse (IS2M), UMR 7661 CNRS-UHA (University of Haute Alsace), France. After an international university background (Romania, France and The Netherlands) she receives in 2007 her PhD degree from University of Metz, France and her Habilitation in the field of “Materials Chemistry” in 2015 from University of Haute Alsace, France. She was awarded in 2017 the CNRS Bronze Medal and in 2018 the Award "Division Chimie du Solide" from French Chemical Society (SCF). Her research works are focused on the development of novel carbon-based materials with controlled properties for different applications in energy storage (batteries and supercapacitors) and environment (air and water remediation). She performed in-depth studies on hard carbon materials anodes for the development of new generation of Na-ion batteries. Author of 88 articles and about 150 communications, she is leading the “Carbon and Hybrid Materials” group at IS2M, she is member of French network of Electrochemical Storage of Energy (RS2E) and part of Editorial board of Journal of Carbon Research.
