Stefan Freund

Stefan Freund studied Classical Philology and Theology at the Universities of Eichstätt, Erlangen and Urbino. He was awarded his doctorate in 1999 with a thesis on the reception of Virgil in early Christianity and completed his Habilitation in 2006 with a commentary on the Christian Latin author Lactantius. From 2005 to 2008 he taught at the University of Regensburg. Since 2008 he is Professor of Classical Philology at the University of Wuppertal.
